Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the csalinas.dev website ("Website") operated by me, Christopher Salinas Jr.

Your access to and use of the Website is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Website.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Website.

Intellectual Property

The Website and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain my exclusive property and that of my licensors. The Website is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

My trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without my prior written consent.

Accounts

An account is optional and exists for one reason: to save your Wordleverse history across devices. You are responsible for keeping your credentials to yourself and for anything done with your account. Tell me if you think someone else is using it.

Sign up with your own email address, and do not register an account on someone else's behalf.

User Content

The only thing you can put on the Website that other people see is a display name in an online game. There is no comment system, no public profile, and nothing to upload.

You are responsible for the name you choose. Do not use one that is someone else's personal information, that infringes anyone's rights, or that you would not want a stranger to read — everyone in the room, including anyone watching it, will see it.

Online Games

Several of the games can be played online with other people. Each game lives in a room with a four-character code, and anyone holding that code can join it or watch it. Codes are listed nowhere, but they are short and they are not secret — share one only with the people you mean to play with.

Nothing in a room is moderated. Nobody reviews a display name before it appears, there is no filter, and there is no report button. This is a hobby project run by one person, and I would rather say that plainly than imply a safety net that does not exist.

If someone in a room is behaving in a way you would rather not see, the remedy is to leave and start a new game with a fresh code. Rooms disappear an hour after their last move in any case, and I may delete any room at any time, for any reason, without notice.

Games in progress are not saved and cannot be recovered once a room is gone. Play them as the hobby projects they are, and not as something to rely on.

Acceptable Use

While using the Website, please do not:

• Use a display name to harass, impersonate, or expose anyone
• Join rooms you were not invited to in order to disrupt other people's games
• Automate requests, flood the games, or work around the rate limits
• Attempt to access accounts, rooms, or data that are not yours

My Website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by me.

I have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that I shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

I strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

Termination

I may terminate or suspend access to my Website immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Disclaimer

Your use of the Website is at your sole risk. The Website is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Website is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

That applies to the games in particular. They are side projects. They may be changed, broken, or taken down at any time, and no game, room, or saved history is guaranteed to still be there tomorrow.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

My failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, I will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use my Website after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Website.
